Perhaps it is not a masterpiece, but it sure doesn't deserve most of the negative reviews it got. More precisely, I find the reasons behind them both ridiculous and interesting. It is not torture porn or an exploitation flick, but it obviously got to (some? most?) people, to say the least, and such films are never very highly rated. Recommended.
